Flower fair, in the court of the Ministry of Agriculture
Manufacturers and processors who have certificates of traditional products and products obtained according to a consecrated, mountain recipe or are registered on European quality systems participate, from Thursday, April 10, until Saturday, April 12, at the Flower Fair, which will take place in the court of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MAD).
The event is organized by MADR, with the support of the Agricultural Caprirom Sud Muntenia.
‘The flower fair is more than an event dedicated to traditional products – it is a celebration of the work and passion of the Romanian producers who carry on the authentic taste of Romania. Through such initiatives, we want to bring the local products closer to consumers, carefully obtained, respecting inherited recipes and European quality standards. I invite all the people of Bucharest to visit the fair and support the Romanian producers, choosing with confidence Romanian products! ‘, Said the Minister of Agriculture, Florin-Ionuț Barbu, quoted in a statement of the ministry.
According to MADR, the products that apply the European quality policy are a true business card for Romania, being promoted by producers from Alba, Argeș, Brăila, Buzău, Botoșani, Brașov, Cluj, Caraș-Severin, Covasna, Constanța, Dâmbovița, Ilfov, Mureș, Sibiu, Sibiu, Sibiu, Sibiu.
The relevant examples include the Magiun of Plum Topoloveni-a protected geographical indication, appreciated for its quality and for the fact that it is a healthy product, without the addition of sugar, without E’s, preservatives or additives, who celebrated, on April 8, 2025, 14 years since the recognition of the first quality system for Romania, the statement said. Also, Telemeaua de Sibiu – protected geographical indication is a traditional product made by the members of the Association of Telemea of Sibiu, which capitalizes the tradition of the mioritic space.
Visitors of the fair will also be able to discover the smoked cheese from Bucegi-a traditional product obtained by the members of the Agricultural CapriRom CapriM Muntenia, sheep yogurt, from Alba county, from the Bârsana farm, along with other assortments of dairy products from cow’s milk or sheep or Ţuica Sordony, from Pojgi Vâlcea, spirits for whom Romania submitted the documentation in order to register as a geographical indication in 2024.
The fair offers variants for both those who hold fast and for those who want ‘sweet’ products: fresh vegetables and fruits, such as garlic and onion (Buzău), apples and pears (Dâmbovița), walnut core and plums (Vizantea or Livezi, Vrancea), processed products – jams, peppers Stockings, syrups and juices (Argeș, Caraș-Severin, Suceava), honey and bee products-acacia, rapeseed, polyphloride, pollen, propolis-from producers from Buzău, Suceava, Argeș and Sibiu, prepared from meat-boiled or smoked products, beef, beef Covasna, Sibiu), traditionally certified products under the brand ‘taste crafts’: pork fillets, smoked pork, pork breast, bacon, peasant sausages, Caltaboș, drum, drob – all without additives and obtained with natural spices, products from the county, from Covasna, premium meat preparations, including Angus beef, from the Tercs Ineu Composesoral Association (Cârța, Harghita commune), made exclusively from local ingredients.
From the fair will not miss dairy products such as cheeses and products from cow’s milk, sheep or goat (Istrate, Fundata), Sibiu (Sadu), Dâmbovița (Voinești), Olt (icon), Suceava (Pojorâta, Moldovița), bakery products and pastries-Passari-Cozoni Belt, Alivenci (Botoșani), cakes without sugar and chocolate with various fillings, fish and fish preparations, traditional products under the brand ‘Victorița Pescărița’ – marinated ash, fish, salad of carp and pike, trout, sturgeon, carp, sleep and miD, Specialties from trout from manufacturers from Busteni and Valea Doftana: Jăruit trout, trout with vegetables, pour in tomato grief – all natural fish, in the waters of the Zamora river.
The Romanian wines will be presented by various varieties by Feteasca White, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Muscat Ottonel, Pinot Gris, Tămâioaosa Românească, Pinot Noir, Feteasa Neagră, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon.
The flower fair in the MADR yard is open between April 10 and 12, 2025, between 9:00 and 19:00.
