Fleet of drivers, violence and robbery: police in constant use

On Saturday there were several police operations in southern Luxembourg.

At 12.45 p.m., a cyclist was hit by a car in Beles. The driver continued his journey without taking care of the injured cyclist, who then had to be taken to the hospital.

Just an hour later, at 1.45 p.m., a car in Rue Emile Mark in Differdingen had an accident by ramping and overturning a car parked on the side of the road. The passenger was injured. It turned out that it was the same vehicle that had previously committed drivers.

An alcohol and drug test with the driver was positive. At the order of the public prosecutor, the man was arrested and the vehicle was secured. He was presented to the examiner on Sunday.

Arrest in Esch/Alzette

A police operation occurred again on Saturday evening: a young woman with facial injuries was found in Esch. She stated that she was beaten by her partner. There was also a relative of the woman who was armed with an iron bar and threatened to attack the alleged perpetrator.
