The police arrested five men on Friday evening who fled for a check on the Paalsesteenweg in Beringen. The five reason was stuck in a dead end street and could be arrested. Drugs and a considerable sum of money were found in their car.

On Friday around 8.30 pm, the Beringen-Ham-Tessenderlo police carried out a check at the parking of exit 26, near the exit of the E313. A car with German number plate drove away for the occupants could be checked. Immediately the chase was used with two vehicles. A helicopter was also called for assistance in the air.

Eventually the flight on the old track ended in Paal, a dead end. The five passengers of the car fled on foot, but could be hired in the buoys in the relatively short term. In the car the agents found a large amount of clothing, drugs and 4,000 euros in cash money. That was immediately seized. Three men also appeared to stay illegally in the country. In Germany, the trio stood for illegal stay.

All kinds of PVs were drawn up against the five (between 20 and 33 years old), ranging from money laundering, illegal stay, drug possession and a host of traffic violations. Their car was immobilized.

The Limburg public prosecutor’s office was informed of the facts. It was decided to call the suspects for interrogation.
