FLBB introduces calendar and far -reaching resolutions for the new season
On Saturday morning, the National Basketball Association (FLBB) invited to the extraordinary general assembly in Kirchberg in the Coque. There those responsible presented the new game calendar, which has some changes ready.
The 2025/26 season will begin on September 20, while the cup final will be held on February 7 and not only in March. Because both the men and women have two FIBA windows available for the execution of international matches that require the cup final. The final of the championship is to be held in May.

In addition to the presentation of the calendar, there were also several votes on the agenda. A project by the FLBB to include a U18 selection as a CFBB team (Center de Formation) in national 2 was of great approval from the clubs. 82 percent of the clubs voted for the project that will start next season with the aim of giving young players more playing time and developing them at a high level in a competition.
It was also announced that the Musel Pikes women’s team will also play in the Enovos League in the coming season because Black Star Mersch and Etzella Ettelbruck have decided to remain in national 2.
A further coordination opens the Coupe FLBB for all B teams in division 1 of women and division 1 of men. This should make it more clubs and teams possible to take part in the « small » cup competition.
