Five -point quake was found in Akranes and Hella
The earthquake that began on the Reykjanes Ridge west of Eldey for lunch continues. After the review, the largest quake turned out to be 5.1 in size at. 14.21.
This is stated in a report from the Icelandic Meteorological Office, which has been notified that the earthquake has been found in many parts of the South and West, or from Akranes to Hella.
At least 160 earthquakes have been detected in the hryvnia, of which 18 are about 3 in size or larger. The hryvnia can be expected to continue, but it is impossible to say how long.
Hrones are common in the area. Kristín Elísa Guðmundsdóttir, another naturalist specialist at the Icelandic Meteorological Office, says that the earthquakes are most likely due to voltage changes.
« There is nothing on the deformation meters that indicate a lot to the fact that this is linked to the fire interpreters that have been in the Reykjanes peninsula, » says Kristín Elsa to mbl.is.
« It is most likely that this is out of raft movements, but these earthquakes are in the area where the Eurasia and the North America are moving apart, so we often get earthquakes in this area. »
It is impossible to say whether the top is reached in the quake or how long it could last, says Kristín.
