Five participants in the helicopter arson in Ostafyevo condemned
The 2nd Western District Military Court sentenced the defendants to a fabric in April 2024 of the helicopter at Ostafyevo Airport by the Ukrainian special services near Moscow. Four young people and the girl were sentenced to 12.5 to 18 years in prison.
The military court recognized Stanislav Khamidulin, Daniil Yamskov, Roman Yakovts, Nikita Bulgakov and Anastasia Mochalin guilty of the attack (part 2 of article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). Young people were also found guilty of sabotage (part 2 of article 281 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
The Ka-32 helicopter, which was in anticipation of repairs, was involved in extinguishing forest fires, was burned on the night of April 26, 2024 at the parking lot of Severnaya International Airport Ostafyevo in the Novomoskovsk administrative district of the capital. The board belonged to the Moscow Aviation Center GKU and 1.5 tons of fuel were refueled.
The damage amounted to about 700 million rubles, while the cost of the aircraft was covered by insurance. Therefore, the lawsuit in the case was not filed.
As the investigation established, the video with a fabric of the helicopter was posted in one of the Ukrainian Telegram channels. The investigation found that the same group, however, without the participation of a girl four days earlier, on April 22, 2024, burned a de -energized relay cabinet on the stamp of the Odintsovo -Golitsyno railway.
During the trial, which lasted from February this year, four defendants and young people were partially guilty. They did not deny that they burned a relay cabinet and a helicopter, but they did not agree with the qualification of their actions. All the defendants insisted that they were not opponents of his, but simply wanted to make money. It was found that for a sabotage on the railway they paid a total of 15 thousand rubles, and about 3 million rubles promised for the destruction of the helicopter. As a result, young people received only 10 thousand rubles for the arson of “turntables”. « For expenses. »
The defense asked to retraperate the actions of the defendants to milder articles – on the attempt to destroy someone else’s property (part 3 of article 30 and part 1 of article 167 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) and the destruction of other people’s property (part 1 of article 167 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation), appointing the persons the minimum deadlines.
Anastasia Mochalina, who, by the time of arrest, managed to finish the first course of the Yurfak of the Novosibirsk College, completely denied the guilt, assuring that she had only caused her friends a taxi. The accusation insisted on the deadline for a girl for 13 years, and for the rest of the defendants – 19 years of imprisonment to everyone.
The representative of the Moscow Aviation Center recognized by the victims supported the prosecutor. He said that the actions of the defendants led to an increase in expenses from the budget, as the state institution had to conclude contracts to armed protection of the airfield, organize closed parking lots and to embroide the territory with barbed wire.
Judge Timur Zhidkov considered the guilt of all five defendants proven. According to the verdict, Anastasia Mochalina will spend 12.5 years in a general regime colony, Khamidulin received 17.5 years, Bulgakov – 18 years old, Yamsk – 17 years old, and Jacob – 17 years 6 months. Young people will spend the first three years in prison, the rest of the term in a maximum security colony. The court also decided to recover from the cards of the convicts 3 thousand rubles. in favor of the state.
The defense of the defendants stated that she did not agree with the sentence and will appeal to it. So, according to the lawyer Irina Ryzhkova, who defended Stanislav Khamidulin, not a single sign of the “terrorist attack” article was proved in court, and the deeds did not create a danger of people’s lives. “Both strictly and unfairly,” the lawyer commented on “Kommersant” the outcome of the process.
