Fires, gas leak and tragedy on the river: Summary of Rescuers Ida-Virumaa over the weekend
In Ida-Virumaa, rescuers over the past weekend eliminated several fires, eliminated gas leak in Narva and removed the body of a drowned man from the river in Alutaguz.
May 2 At 14:19 rescuers went to the Akhtma area in Kokhtla-Yarva on Kaik Kiyk Street, where a fire of dry grass was seen. Firefighters from Yykhvi eliminated a fire that spread to an area of 200 square meters. It was established that the fire began from behind the fire. For careless handling of fire, a fine was issued in a simplified manner.
May 2 At 15:48, a message was received about a worked gas sensor in an apartment on Yoala Street in Narva. The rescuer gas analyzer recorded a leak, the cause of which was a faulty gas boiler. The gas was blocked, the room was ventilated. The owner is instructed to call a gas equipment.

An elderly man drowned in a volost Alutaguse
On May 3, at 11:21, a message was received at the Center for Alarm about the Tagaygy found in the Tagai River in the village of Tudulinna (Alutaguz volost) as a drowned person. Upon arrival of rescuers, the body was two meters from the steep coast. At 12:21 the deceased was extracted from the water. The message came from a relative who said that an elderly man had disappeared the night before. His body was found about 500 meters from the house in the river.
May 3 at 18:25 a message was received about the fire of dry grass in the village of Pyuhaye (Toyla volost) near the forest. First, firefighters from Yykhvi eliminated the hearth with an area of 100 square meters. Then, along the road, about 10 more foci with a total area of about 3,000 square meters were found. Rescuers from Sallamae also participated in the extinguishing. The work ended at 18:35. According to preliminary data, the cause of fires was arson.
May 4 at 16:48 Rescuers left for the village of Verezi (Narva-Yesuu), where dry grass was burning near the pond. The team from Sillamae extinguished a fire on an area of 3,000 square meters.
May 4 at 19:50 on Tiygikald Street in Narva at an abandoned building, smoke was noticed. Rescuers put out a burning pile of garbage at the house.
On May 4, at 23:35, a message was received about a burning sofa in the courtyard of the house on Aronia Street in Narva. According to an eyewitness, there were buildings nearby, but there were no people nearby. The owner of the site, which was intoxicated, did not let the rescuers into the territory and refused to extinguish the fire. The police arrived at the place, after which the firefighters managed to put out the burning sofa.
