Fire in Zakopane. The 36-year-old will be responsible for attempted murder
On Sunday, March 30, early in the morning, one of the residents of Zakopane alerted services about a fire of a wooden single -family building at the Krzeptówki estate in Zakopane. When a fire appeared in the building, the household members still slept. Rescue services were sent to the place, including firefighters and policemen.

– When the officers arrived, firefighters have already carried out activities related to fire extinguishing and evacuated people imprisoned in a burning building with ladders and booms. Four evacuated people did not suffer serious injuries, but the wooden building was damaged by fire and water – informs Asp. Roman Wieczorek, press officer of the Poviat Police Headquarters in Zakopane.
The expert in the field of firefighters quickly determined that third parties could have contributed to the arson. Policemen began an investigation in the case And soon they selected a person suspected of placing fire.
– The officers questioned many people, secured traces and evidence at the fire and checked the records of surveillance cameras. A tedious hours of analysis of the collected materials allowed to select a suspected person. Already the day after the fire in the hands of Zakopane criminal was a 36-year-old resident of the Tatra poviat-reports a police spokesman.
A detained woman was a former employee of the Zakopane City Hall
The woman was brought to the prosecutor’s office, where she heard the charge of causing a fire and attempted the murder of several people by cutting off their only escape path.
– Its action thus caused an event to be threatening the life and health of many people, as well as large -sized property. After hearing in the prosecutor’s office, the woman was brought to the Zakopane court, which at the request of the prosecutor applied the most severe preventive measure in the form of a temporary arrest for three months-said asp. pcs. Roman Wieczorek.
According to PAP, the woman was a longtime employee of the Zakopane City Hall.
The 36-year-old may be punishable by imprisonment for not less than 15 years or life imprisonment.
