Fire broke out on facade in Limpertsberg
The rescue workers of the CGDIS were deployed to Limpertsberg at around 2 p.m. on Wednesday. The fire had made itself noticeable by a black smoke column, which was many meters high.
According to a CGDIS spokesman, the fire had broken out in a residential and commercial building with offices and apartments. The insulation material applied on the facade had caught fire, with thick smoke. There is a construction site next to the house. The extent to which the construction work was the cause of the fire is still unclear.

At 3 p.m. the fire was under control and the firefighters examined the facade with thermal imaging cameras. However, since it cannot be ruled out that there is still embers under the insulation material, part of the material must be removed, according to the CGDIS.
A worker of the neighboring construction site had to be brought to the hospital for the purpose of control with suspicion of slight smoke poisoning.
