Finnair cancel dozens of flights from Thursday – the reason for the union protest

Flight cancellations are expected to affect about 6,500 customers, Finnair says in a news release.
The ACP and the Aviation Union IAU will be organizing a two-hour political demonstration on Thursday at 2 pm, at the same time as Finnair, on Thursday.
To ACP Members of SLSY, a member of the Finnish Flight Head and Stuertti Association, are refrained by work that would start on Finnair flights from Helsinki-Vantaa. Other work is done normally.
The members of the IAU three professional departments, on the other hand, do not participate in work related to the technical or land services used by Finnair and Nordic Regional Airlines.
According to the unions, the political demonstration is directed at the state’s ownership policy. The ACP says it is disappointing that it has been proposed to raise a total of approximately 30-45 % of the Finnair government fees in two years.
« As the owner, the state was last intervened in the unreasonable reward of Neste’s CEO when it voted against the proposal for the reward. We consider the increase in Finnair’s government fees in the same way unreasonable, » the chairman of the ACP Ismo Kokko said in the bulletin.
Service sector Employers Palta have not swallowed the arguments of the unions about the political workforce. Palta believes that the purpose is to accelerate collective bargaining negotiations that are ongoing with both ACP and IAU.
According to Palta’s interpretation, industrial reports violate the statutory two -week announcement time because they were only given last week. Palta has left its statements to the national mediator and has suggested the launch of so -called coercion.
