It always says that the gene Z is so abstinent. Today’s twens would not smoke, don’t drink, go to bed early, pay attention to the work-life balance and do Pilates instead of partying. Fun brakes, one would have said earlier, but nobody should be « shaded » here for a healthy lifestyle. And there are somewhere out there, the ones under 30, who celebrate until the excess. For them, the Canadian quartet The Beaches now delivers a song that is ideal for such evenings of the over-the strand. Musically it is somewhere between Glam rock and garage indie, the chorus should be easy to sing in various intoxicating states. A hedonistic hymn in which the band around the sisters Jordan and Kylie Miller refuses to do reasonable action: « While You’re Sleepin, We’re Not Leaving, » it says. « We’re Gonna Be the Last Girls at the Party. » Just don’t miss anything! You drink high -proof, and the only break you put on is one for smoking. Why go home, it’s only one in the morning! Or two, three, four … until eight in the morning the party goes. Wonderful, finally let yourself go. Sleeping in, doing sports, eating something healthy and sinking into regrets can still be sinked into. Heide Rampetzreiter
