In the coming trial against ex-city officer SD (45) van Nieuwpoort who secretly filmed nineteen victims, seven victims of the civil party have now taken place. The council chamber in Veurne referred ex-city officer SD from Nieuwpoort on Tuesday to the criminal court where he will be on trial for voyeurism, with the aggravating circumstance that he also filmed minors and colleagues. The facts came to light on the summer camp of the Seacouts 8th Fos’ t Vloedgat in Beringen, when a camera was discovered in the shower. After that, SD also secretly turned out to have filmed his cleaning lady, neighbor and colleagues at work. In the meantime, at least seven civil parties have already set themselves in the case.
What done with images?
Among them a couple of fellow cooking parents, whose nude images in the shower at the Scoutskamp were the first to be discovered. They respond through their lawyer Thomas Bailleul. « Those people are badly disappointed in SD, » he says. “Certainly because he was known as a real scoutsman, someone who arranged everything. They could never have thought that he was behind this. They went to view the images with the police and they leave nothing to chance. Their great fear is now: who has seen those images? They are afraid that this man was said that it was still living for their own use? collapses, as if nothing is wrong. »

In the meantime, SD turns out not to have been a cooking parent, he had been involved in the Zeescouts 8th Fos’ t Vloedgat for years. In fact: he used to be the head leader. « It goes without saying that the sea scouts were excited and they had limitless faith in SD, » says lawyer Alain Coulier. He is the counsel of the sea scouts who is a civil party and still for a leader who was filmed in the shower. « The reputation damage for the scouts is huge. In addition, they also suffered extra damage. For example, the camp had to be demolished early and they were overwhelmed with telephones from worried parents. They want to change this black page quickly, but that is only possible after the process. In any case, it is clear that SD is never welcome at the scouts. »
