I think the government coalition is really unstable. We will see how things will go, but I am ready to talk to absolutely any political party, said today the President of the Social Democratic Alliance, Venko Filipce, after a joint inspection with the Mayor of Centar Goran Gerasimovski in the construction activities of the Skopje Sports Hall.

Regarding the upcoming local elections and the possible coalition partner of the Albanian political bloc, Filipce has indicated that he is closely monitoring current inter -party relations in the government coalition and that initiatives have already been initiated. What is happening in the government coalition, according to the leader of the opposition SDSM, suggests that the coalition is unstable and that it is not working well.

– In terms of an Albanian coalition partner, we are gradually starting the initiatives for talks, we perceive the circumstances, situations, send what is happening in the part of the government coalition, so we will decide further. What is happening in the government coalition indicates that the coalition is indeed unstable and does not work well. In a different period of time, a fairly short, diametrically opposed view of whether or not there will be early elections, which puts it in the context of the coalition’s relationship. That the coalition does not work, practically the citizens experience it every day – says Filipce.

Asked if he will seek early parliamentary elections along with local, Filipce said the Social Democratic Alliance is ready for any type of election in the coming period.

« We are ready for whatever happens in the next period, whether there will be only local elections, whether there will be together with local and early parliamentary elections, the Social Democratic Union is ready for any type of election in the next period, » Filipce said.

He emphasized that the coalition in which the Social Democratic Alliance participates will be jointly in the upcoming local elections, and that conversations have already been started, but, as he said, not in all municipalities, which will be part of the parties independently.

« The coalition in which the Social Democratic Alliance participates jointly in the next local elections, talks have already begun, but not in all municipalities because some of the municipalities will perform independently, but the coalition goes together in the local elections, » said Filipce.

According to him, the investigation into the tragedy in Kocani is selective and employees of key institutions after the tragedy do not receive a timely salary.

– A bad strategy in the economy, lack of realization of capital investments, a large number of institutions that do not share employees’ salaries. Watch out for key institutions separately, at this time after the tragedy in Kocani, some of the inspectorates without salary, part of the social services, the Ministry of Culture, the Ministry of Economy, simply a bad performance of the Government. We explain it everyday that the investigation into the tragedy in Kocani is terribly blind- says Filipce.

Asked about commenting on current SCPC President Tatjana Dimitrovska, who was brought before a pre -trial judge at the Basic Criminal Court on suspicion of releasing an official secret in the « Adiv » case, Filipce said that he should first determine the real situation. On whether he thinks he should stay in office, he says, « More aspects are intertwined, above all moral aspects, but wait for the president to react and then comment on it. »

He estimated that the country’s EU integration path is completely stuck because of what he said was the lack of initiative by the ruling coalition to implement constitutional changes.

« There is no initiative for constitutional changes by the ruling coalition, unfortunately, their overall behavior attitude towards that issue indicates that our European integration path is completely stuck, I would say, the future of the country is questioned. This is a really critical period in which many geopolitical shifts occur, the position of the new US administration. I think that besides being very important for the country to continue to evolve and strengthen to truly reform as possible only by continuing the European integration path, if it does not continue, safety risks – said Filipce.
