Fight in prison yields prison sentences for ‘pedo hunters’ involved in murder of David Polfliet (42) (Zwijndrecht)

The Dendermond court has imposed four defendants in prison for a theft with violence in the prison of Beveren. Two of them were in custody for their involvement in the murder of David Polfliet (42). They received an effective prison sentence of 18 months and a year respectively.
The foursome was on trial a few months ago because they committed violent fences during their detention in prison of Beveren. « You can see on camera images how the second defendant RP steps at the victim and the tobacco grisses out of his hands, » the attorney outlined. « When the man wild that back, the three others came into action and attacked him. He got several stairs and punches to collect. » The victim was left with a broken nose.
The facts took place in the department of the minors that have been handled. The first two defendants, the alleged ‘pedo hunters’ NL (20) and RP, were there because they were involved in the murder of David Polfliet (42). The man was lured to a park in Beveren in 2021, where he was stabbed. For this they will soon have to answer in the Court of Assisen.
No knife
The Public Prosecution Service responded displeased that their detention clearly did not stop them from again committing similar facts. « Fortunately, this time nobody had a knife, » said the attorney, who demanded a prison sentence of forty months for the four defendants. That was far too strict according to the defendant. “ »Are you crazy or something« It sounded.

The judge declared all those involved guilty of violence on Monday. Pedojagers NL and RP received an effective prison sentence of 18 months and a year respectively. The third and fourth defendants were in prison for thirty and 24 months. (PVS)
