In the exhibition rooms of the Gerngross exhibition rooms, a local historical Viennese event, the fifty anniversary of the Vienna Fiaker song, was celebrated with an interesting show.

The Society for the Leaving and Promotion of Viennese folk art, together with the son of the author Gustav Pick, Higher Regional Court Council Alfred Pick, has prepared this memory exhibition. Programs, pictures, stitches, newspaper clippings, various personal souvenirs of Gustav Pick, the collection of Higher Regional Court Council Pick and souvenir of the old Fiaker period and its well -known representatives (for example on Bratfisch, the coachman of the imperial house), make the show in a variety of ways. Reports from all over the world confirm that the fiaker song with its fame is really from Krugerstrasse – here it was created – until Bombay and Honolulu extends. On a Whit day, on May 24, 1885, it experienced his resounding success for the first time sung by Alexander Girardi. Grünfeld, Rubinstein, Hansi Riese, Schmedes, Moissi were the most famous interpreters of this Viennese work after Girardi.
