Fides in procedures for the constitutional review of the law, « subcontracted » for the next government
After the National Assembly approved the amendment to the Health Act at the meeting on Wednesday, the strike committee of the Union of Doctors and Dentists of Slovenia Fides met today. They decided to initiate procedures to file a request for a constitutional review of the amendment to the Health Act. It is also expected that the veto of the law will also vote for the National Council.
« The main strike committee has today decided that we will start all activities with the legal service to assess the constitutionality of the Act on Health Care Act, » explained representatives of the Fides union, where they are convinced that the harmful consequences of this law will be visible in a year and will not feel them immediately. The law, as they said, has transitional periods that will be drawn throughout the year.
Fides is planning a constitutional review of the articles of the law, which, in their opinion, are harmful and what adverse effects will be shown over time. These are mainly articles that « refer to the working conditions of doctors and restrict work in their spare time. » « When we do the work in a public service, and we do this work correctly and professionally, we have the freedom to decide what we will do extra if we are ready and capable, » explained the trade union presidency member Bojan Kostic. The amendment to the law was called « the sub -actor, which the next government will deal with. »
When it comes to limiting the disposal of the profit of concessionaires – in this case, the Minister of Health also pointed out of any controversy Valentina Prevolnik Rupel and Finance Minister Klemen Boštjančič – but in Fides, they answer that in this case the procedures cannot be initiated by the union, but those who are harmed must be triggered by the concessionaires themselves.

The coalition constantly emphasizes that the novella brings the urgent regulation and demarcation of public and private health care and that it is a key step of health reform.
Minister of Health Valentina Prevolnik Rupel She stressed that the novella is upgrading the conditions for the work of health care staff outside the health care institution. According to her, she also regulates the integration of public health institutions, re -establishes the types of hospitals and expands the obligation to integrate into continuous health care for all healthcare professionals in the public network. It also introduces compulsory measurement of daily workloads in the public network and regulates the granting of concessions more appropriately. However, the government allows the government to temporarily determine the highest prices of health services.
« The measures are intended to actualize the conditions of work and the transparent functioning of the health care activity, so we estimate that the adoption of this Act will strengthen the operation of a public network and public institutions, » the minister said.
Prime minister Robert Golob on the other hand, estimated that the novel ends the harmful double practices that were shining the public system. He assured that their goal would continue to be more accessible, more transparent and quality public health, « in which the patient comes first ». « We strengthen a system that does not serve the profit of the individual, but to the health of all, » he stated.
