Festivals in tune with the times – Liberation
Culture in all its diversity. Beyond the headliners who take advantage of the summer to stage their projects, the hundreds of festivals that we have selected -whether of music, literature, theater, cinema or street arts-impose an observation throughout the national territory and overseas: cultural life and its regional specificities are essential like ramparts in the face of the concern that eats out our society ; Indispensable bulwark to combat ambient gloom, whether political, climatic or economic.
This is felt in the deeply committed to current societal issues – which the organizers of the events we have interviewed confirm. The passage of Covid’s pandemic left traces, followed by the crisis of purchasing power and the escalation of international geopolitical concern.
Festivals live to the rhythm of the company: after the systematization of communications on their eco -responsible and lasting valuesthe organizers are now shedding light on another problem. Security and vigilance, to make the most of the party, are now fully part of the organization of many festivals. Many of them, where the crowds mingle by sailing from one scene to another, were cited in Testimonials of gender -based and sexual violence. In response, listening, reception and rest cells are democratizing in large -scale events to support potential victims but also to prevention and patrol among festival -goers.
Pending the (utopian) moment when these initiatives will no longer have to be and where the party will be serene, we can only rejoice that these subjects are treated, and hope, with a dose of caution, Let them be with all the serious necessary.
