Imagine a festival without a fence, without ticket control and without stress – but overlooking the fjord, sunshine and some of the country’s biggest musical names.
It is not a thought from a dreamy hippie camp, but the reality of summer sauce in the hills 2025.
On June 20 and 21, Bramslev Bakker at Mariager Fjord is transformed into a two-day free festival where everyone is invited. Yes, everyone. Regardless of age, zip code and bank statement.
It writes Adventure Denmark ApS in one press release.

From ticket crisis to folk party
The plan was actually a regular music festival with entrance and bracelets – but with a little dull advance sale in the back, the organizers chose to turn the buck on their heads. Instead of cutting down or canceling, the gates are now turned up: The gates are opened to everyone and the party will be free.
The organizers emphasize that the idea is driven by a desire to make culture, music and nature accessible to everyone – whether you have bought a ticket in advance or first hear about the festival at the last minute.
From Lis Sørensen to the flower man
The program is anything but spartan. The music scene – appropriately baptized the fjord scene – is visited by both well -known and fresh faces on the Danish music front: Lis Sørensen, Ida Corr, League, Skinz, Freja Kirk, Nicoline Toft and a joint show with the whisk, Kaka and Pharfar are among the highlights.
But summer sphere is more than music. Talks are held on the florist’s terrace with a focus on climate, creativity and life’s big questions. Here, among others, journalist Simi Jan and European Minister Marie Bjerre will meet local young people for debate, while artist Johnny Haugaard – also known as the florist – talks about his magnificent work « Midgard worms him, » a 450 meter long sculpture that meanders through the landscape and connects Hobro, Bramslev Bakker and Viking Fortet at Fyrkat.
Everything is free – but take a ticket anyway
Although no one has to pay at the entrance, guests are encouraged to pick up a free ticket via www.sommersus.dk – Partly for the organizers to form an overview, and partly because you automatically participate in the draw for four tickets to Johnny Haugaard’s exhibition in Hobro.
If you have already purchased an admission ticket, there is freedom of choice: Get the money back-or receive bar drinks tickets for the double amount.
Children’s fun and back thoughts
The youngest of the family is also spoiled. Flying Superkids Junior rolls up with acrobatics and energy, and there will be plenty of activities for both small and large.
The festival is organized by the association Bramslev Bakker’s Friends, and any profits go to vulnerable children in the local area. So whether you come for the community, the music or just to enjoy the summer hills with a beer in hand – it does not go completely crooked.
