Feedback on « Flip »: The movie sticks to the skin
« I really liked it, I felt like watching a kind of documentary – even my own teenage years. Maybe I didn’t have so much hardcore, but close. I was very. I brought a sense of hyperrealism.

« A very strong visual experience. For a long time I saw such a cinematic Lithuanian film. It still takes time to get emotions, but the first emotion was brutally liked. « We discussed that a little boy was very memorable – he played a child we all had in his yard. It caused nostalgia. There were many feelings that were translated inside – both unpleasant and uncomfortable and unfortunate.

« Obviously I liked the movie. I brought a very dual feeling. I would say a horror movie. Especially for women and girls. But at the same time it has a lot of beauty. I think everyone will discover, all will remember something, » said Mary Kavtaradze.

The film « The Subsis » tells the story of two girls going to adolescence that dreams of escaping from the dull industrial area. Kristina, who is experiencing a relationship crisis with her father, wants to become a loud mannequin and leave home as soon as possible. Mary, who is seeking a newcomer to the town, follows in the footsteps of Kristina. Girls do not yet know what beauty and love mean to themselves, so they follow the perceptions of the yard friends and repeat what is acceptable in their environment. And here’s the competition, jealousy, a dangerous society and a promise of a better life that forces us to harm your body more and more extremely.

« Subspeak » is a debut feature of the solar blues. His worldwide premiere took place at the prestigious Locarno Film Festival, where he immediately took not only the main film award – the Golden Leopard, but also three more prizes. However, it was just the beginning of success-the « Buckle » came to Lithuania that more than 70 international film festivals-from Canada to Australia, from Indonesia to Brazil, the film won 15 prizes and was nominated for the European Film Award.
In the film « Buckle », the main roles were created by the debut actress Vesta Matulytė and Ieva Rupeikaitė, as well as Giedrius Savickas, Eglė Gabrėnaitė, Vilma Raubaitė.
