Father’s funeral of Cardinal Rysia. Personal words and a symbolic return home
Cardinal Ryś presided into the liturgy in Krakow and gave a homily himself, in which he got for many personal memories. – When I introduced a casket with my dad’s body to this church, I remembered how my dad brought me and my brother Janusz for the first time to this place. There was only a dug down here then under the foundations. Dad led us here that we would take the land with a wheelbarrow, hoping that one day a church would stand here – said Cardinal Ryś, not hiding emotion. – Dad died in the hospital, he probably didn’t imagine it. He wanted to die at home. Dad, you’re at home. In the church you co -created. Here is a piece of your work, sacrifice and effort.
Paternity lesson
Cardinal Ryś remembered his father as a warm, current but not without authority. – He was always close. We ran with him in the mountains, we went to the lakes. He shortened the distance, but he never lost authority – emphasized the Metropolitan of Łódź.

Although Cardinal Grzegorz Ryś emphasizes that he feels a novice, his name is increasingly appearing in speculation regarding the choice of a new pope. – I am a cardinal for barely two years. I have no idea what it means to be on the conclave – said the priest in an interview with journalists. « I will pray for the Holy Spirit, it’s an incredible responsibility, » he added seriously.
Cardinal Lynx. He is 61 years old and in the universal church he enjoys respect as a preacher, pastor and theologian. There are also voices that – with a grain of salt, but with recognition – think about him as « Pope of the Pole 2.0 ».
