FARSA without end: Elections without conditions are impact on Serbia’s future – personal views
The policy that does not provide basic conditions for free and honest elections is not only illegitimate, it is dangerous for the future of all of us. Elections held without cleansed voter lists, without free media and without independent institutions cannot be nothing but ferretic and fake processes. Such a practice only solidifies the regime that makes a puppet from the citizens.
It’s all a farce and listless. The opposition wants a transitional government, but some do not support it. Several of them are looking for extraordinary elections, while others believe it is not a solution. The situation with students is not many different – the requirements are there, but there is no single attitude.
A clear list of key topics need to be considered by all political actors: Kosovo, the fight against corruption, freedom of media, legal state and human rights protection. The people must have information to be able to make a responsible and informed decision.
We cannot allow that, after the election, the same people sit again in armchairs and change their principles and attitudes depending on personal interest. Such a process only solidifies a system that makes the people remain helpless.
The only correct path is to form a transitional government that will ensure the absolute regularity of choice and enable citizens to freely decide on their future.
Anyone participates in the elections without fulfilling these minimum conditions, becomes partner of those who destroy our country. Therefore, we invite all political actors to stop calculations and turn to the true struggle for justice, freedom and dignity of each citizen of Serbia.
All those who continue to defend this regime, which destroyed any foundation of citizens’ confidence, will have to be responsible, both political, and moral!
