Farewell to Artan Lames!

The sudden escapes are sad because they are farewell escapes. Such was the departure of Artan Lames. Since today, May 22, 2025, he will no longer be present, in public engagements, in the treatments of various themes, in the media presence, where he with spirit and fire revealed, presented, submitted and defended many issues, where he left in memory, his voice and arguments.
This time, Artan Lame failed to battle with cardiovascular problems. He surrendered to death at the age of 58, leaving behind a remarkable contribution as an architect, researcher, publicist and his engagement in matters of cultural heritage, urban history and land politics in Albania.
As the head of the State Cadastre Agency, he has made a significant contribution to the processes of legalization and property registration. With his activity, publicity focused on many analyzes, historical writings and public reflections, through a clear and passionate language, he shed light on issues of Albania’s identity, memory and transformation.
Artan Lame has had previous heart intervention, before the fatale that led to his death, today, May 22, 2025. In March 2016, he underwent a difficult heart surgery at a private hospital in Tirana after a crack.
This time he escaped leaving grief and pain for his wife, two children, his family and all those that this premature separation was leaked to his heart. Flee without a farewell, but also without the spiritual word, which he so beautifully knew how to sculpt, with the thin pen and the poor knocking of the heart.
Nine years ago, in 2016, he won the battle with death, thanking the whole team of doctors, who in a 7-hour challenge would keep Artan Lame’s heart, which was impossible for German doctors to hand over.
At that time Artan Lame, more than gratitude for everything, after returning « From where it rarely makes it a vacuum to return » who left a few words of heart, perhaps not tips on how many lessons that knock on, in times that you seem to have been reborn in a world that is and should be seen and lived every moment as a miracle.

Now he escaped, leaving behind a name that he carved with a devotion and devotion, with such a diligence and a fire of passionate inclusion, where he was burned, to belong to eternity.
