Farewell Greetings of the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra at the Easter Festival in Baden Baden / Day
This beautiful tradition, which is seduced by music lovers from around the world every spring on the resort town of Schwarzwald, has been maintained since 2013 – all these years the Easter Festival Badenbaden Festival House (Festpielhaus) has organized in cooperation with the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra. But in the classical music industry, everything changes – in 2026 Berlin Philharmonic Will return to the Easter Festival of Salzburg, where every spring was played by Maestro Herbert von Karajan.

Berlin Philharmonic The festival will be heard in three more concert programs. On April 13 and 19, Klaus Mekele will come to the conductor’s desk, with Richard Strauss Alpine symphony And Sergey Rachmaninov’s third piano concert (soloist Leif Uve Annsez). On April 14, the audience will be able to evaluate the suite from Leos Janacek’s opera at Jakub Khruša FateLudwig van Beethoven’s fifth piano concert (soloist Sondzhin Cho) and the concert for the Bart Bartok for the orchestra. On April 18 and 21, Maestro Cyril Petrenko will conduct Beethoven’s ninth symphony.
The German National Youth Orchestra, conducted by Patrick Lange, will perform at the festival on April 19. Young musicians will be joined by violinist Midori, and the opuses of Johannes Brahms and Detleva Glanerta. The festival also features a large chamber music concert program, which will feature artists from the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra.
