Families of Victims in Pulse Fire will be called to join criminal prosecution

Public prosecutors acting in the investigation into the fire at the Kocani discotheque « Pulse » begin to hear families – legal representatives of the deceased. Through the statements made to the Public Prosecutor they will be able to exercise their rights as damaged and join the criminal prosecution, the prosecution said.

They will also be able to be directly informed about the course and phase of the procedure, but also to say their knowledge of the event.

To this end, in the next 2 days, in cooperation with volunteers from « Support Kocani », the prosecution will contact the closest relatives of the deceased to determine the exact time and place where they can exercise their right.

The hearings will be conducted in accordance with a set schedule of 27.5 (Tuesday) to 29.5 (Thursday) in the premises of the Public Prosecutor’s Office in agreement with the injured.

-This hearings are individual and will be called upon a legal representative for each victim to make a matter of rights as damaged. He will be able to propose other people from the family who may have insight into the event. The Public Prosecutor’s Office, in accordance with its legal powers, pays particular attention and care for the victims of this tragic event throughout the procedure. In all actions taken and decisions, prosecutors take into account and protect the interests of the injured. At the same time, the prosecution’s call to all others who have personal testimonies of the accident, information and evidence regarding the work of the Pulse Club – Kocani and related companies, as well as information about the work of the competent institutions, to act with the investigation, are still active.
