‘Falling not born for politics’: Erol Mask About son Ilon – BBC News in Serbian
Ilon Mask is the richest man in the world, a technological entrepreneur with strong connections and a rare approach to political powerful people in the highest positions.
The BBC talked to Mask’s father Erol to gain insight into Ilove’s childhood and how it affected the man who some call « unofficial US president ».
« He sent me money for a two-motorcycle plane I wanted to buy, » Erol says, while describing the last meeting with his influential son.
« I was short, so I sent a little money to me if I could buy it. And that’s why I just told him, ‘Thank you’. »
He says that there was only one day before our interview.
Erol Mask joined me over the zoom from his coast villa near Cape Town, acting relaxed and confidently.
I turned to him a few weeks ago, looking for an interview with him about Ilon’s childhood and was surprised to just say, « OK. »
Born in 1971. in Pretoria, the capital of the South Africa, Ilon was raised in the Father’s Father Engineers and Mother Maja, model.
After the divorce of his parents, he mostly lived with Erol in South Africa, before 1989 moved to Canada.
According to Erol, Illon was a « very good boy without any problems, » who always received everything she wanted.
He says he always knew that his son would not stop until « number one » becomes.
Today, the Ilon runs Tesl, Spaceks and IX (once Twitter, who has now merged with his AI Start-Apom).
The Wall Street Journal assessed his wealth at 419.4 billion dollars in February.
He also became one of the most visible advisers to the American president and head of the newly formed Department of Government Efficiency (Doge).

Children’s illness
Ilon’s relationship with his father has always been a complicated and biographer Ashley Vance was a childhood as unhappy.
« You’re chasing you gangs at school, then you come home, so it’ll be just awful there, » he remembered.
In another biography, Ilon’s brother Kimbal says Volter Ajzekson that their father verbally abused them while the children were.
« He would roose at us, holding us lessons for hours, calling us nonsense, wrath, making us offensive and mean comments. »
In the interview 2017. years, the Ilon left as far as his father calls a « horrible human being ».
Erol says he doesn’t know why the Ilon said something like that.
« I talk to him pretty often now. I’m sure you will apologize over time. »
« Don’t forget that the boys are somewhat composed with their own fathers, » he adds.
Erol, however, admits that his military service has affected him.
« They would have said you are more worthless than snails and you had to hard to break up to the top. But as a result, you get solid men, » he claims.
Erol and Ilon have a lot in common: both of them are businessmen, both are considered controversial personalities and both have many children.
Erol has seven, while Ilona believes that there are 14.
Erol criticized the Son because he neglect from them for work, but insists that he personally tried to dedicate her own children in person.
During this interview, however, Erol briefly forgets one his own child, a fourth daughter, whose mother is his ex-cherum, Jana Bezuidenhout.
Jana entered Mask Family as a four-year-old, when Erol married Janin Mother Hed.
I’m surprised when early Erol says he has three daughters, just to get straight afterwards.
He then adds that « he constantly forgets the fourth daughter, » laughing because he is uncomfortable.

In the meantime, they received another child, but they are no longer together.
Their affair allegedly led to the gap between Erol and Ilon, although Erol says they are now talking again.
Politics and insults
I remind Erola to the case when the Ilon publicly insulted the Polish Minister of Foreign Affairs, calling him « a small man. »
Does he worry when he sees his son publicly insulting people?
« I’m very worried about every word that Ilon or any of my child excuses, out of fear so that they could bay in trouble, » Erol says.
« Since when he was very small, I would often tell him, you can’t speak adults that they’re stupid, » Erol recalls.
« And he would tell me about that, ‘Why? So when they’re stupid.’ And I would tell him, are, they are stupid, but you can’t tell them that, «
But Erol believes that there is a larger maneuver space in the world for such a thing: « People will one day call each other with all the names, and then the Alliance will be closed next day. »
Despite Ilon’s obvious influence in the powers of power, Erol believes that his son was not born for politics.
« He is a person from the world of technology.
« Technological people want things to make sense, » he says.
He adds that an Ilon has a problem cooperating with various types of people.
« You have to work with people who are completely popular, but they could be complete idiots. »

But this is not an EROL’s opinion on all politicians: There are those who are divided by him and his family – especially Russian president Vladimir Putin.
« If you look at Putin just as a man, not in the context of international politics, it is hard not respected, » Erol says.
« He speaks extremely common sense. It’s hard not to feel awe to Mr. Putin. »
When I ask him if the Ilon shares his attitude, Erol confirms this.
When I mention Putin’s invasion of Ukraine, Erol insists that « only time will show who started it », despite the obvious evidence of Russian aggression.
During the interview, I get a few attacks of laughter and rolling out with eyes, mostly when I get into question his political attitudes.
Erol believes that sending starlinka Ukraine in the early days of war was a good move, but as the conflict was extended, Ilons views were changing.
He rejects claims that Ilon’s turn was motivated by financial interests, saying, « Our family has everything – we don’t need more money. »
Speaking from the spacious room with a billiard table in the background, he becomes irritable, gesturing while repeating several times: « We have everything. »
As the interview is coming to an end, I ask Erola what people don’t know about Ilon.
Erol says his son lacking confidence when he speaks in public.
« He’s uncomfortable. He still has to learn how to be on stage in front of the audience, » Erol says.
« Whatever has to say, always excuses the fastest thing that can. »
