Fake news about rainwater
Fake news disassembled. No regulation at the level of the European Union or in national legislation does not prohibit the collection and use of rainwater by Romanian citizens, explained the Ministry of Environment, Water and Forests (MMAP), in a Posting Published on Tuesday, on the official Facebook page of the institution.

These statements are false. To the Romanian citizens (…) we call on citizens to verify the information from official sources and not to spread unconfirmed news that can create panic and misinformation, especially among farmers and inhabitants of the rural area ”, the communication of the resort ministry shows.
According to the quoted source, in Romania, the management of water resources is regulated by the Water Law no. 107/1996, with the subsequent modifications and completions, normative act that does not provide tariffs or sanctions for collecting rainwater in households and does not impose the obligation to obtain an authorization for the use of rainwater for household purposes.
