Extraordinary record in Lithuanian gardens

Klaipeda Vytas has been gardening for a long time, but it only comes to the gardens every year when the weather warms.

Even the Klaipėda District Government is amazed at the number of records in Dituva. There were only 2,000 officially registered people a few years ago, and now almost 5 thousand.

Although Dituva Gardens belong to Priekulė eldership, they have 5 times more inhabitants than in the center of the eldership. People go to Diupt for a variety of reasons. Some say that the plots are cheaper here, less bureaucracy when building a home.

« Maybe it’s cheaper and everything.

« There are all the conditions: the children take the children to the school, the bus and the kindergarten is, » the resident said.

Some are considering that citizens may be looking for a safer refuge in gardens if war arose.

« There is a landfill, shooting, catching, and the like. If the war began, the first struck would be to Diupt, » the man said.

Klaipeda district authorities say that Dituva, which has so many residents, also gets investment. The recently reconstructed Dituva Kindergarten-School, and another kindergarten is expected to be built in two years.

The authorities say that one of the streets is now being reconstructed to make it easy to leave the gardens during peak and prevent traffic jams.

« I think this year, if the order has been confirmed, gardeners will be able to pass some of the roads to us if such a wish.

Dituviškis sees an even greater trouble

« There is no sewer, there is no water supply – everyone has become their own autonomous. If they arrange engineering networks, maybe everyone would start living here, » the resident said.

The water supply and sewage are also worried about the district government.

« You imagine what an ecological disaster can be if everyone is set up and joined the same ditches. Today we have been trying to buy a feasibility study twice.

However, it is extremely expensive to install wastewater and water supply – it can cost up to € 10 million.
