Extortion at the top manager « Rostec » pulled for five years in a colony
The court in Moscow in a special order considered the case against the media manager Stanislav Deineko, who was accused of extorting funds from the director of Rostec on special instructions of Vasily Brovko for the installation of blocks for negative publications in Telegram channels. The bourgeois court of the capital sentenced the Tyumen media manager and PR specialist, Deputy Director of the Regional Department of Strategic Development of the region Stanislav Deineko. He was charged with particularly large extortion (part 3 of article 163 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) and slander (part 5 of article 128.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
According to Kommersant, the criminal case, according to various episodes of which are PR manager Stanislav Deineko, general director of Dijal Soft Anton Safonov, general director of the Lenfilm film studio Fedor Shcherbakov, journalist Dmitry Zhmutsky and the owner of the newspaper Vali and Telegram channel Alexander Gusov, was excited Based on the testimonies of the creator and administrator of the Telegram channel “Kremlin Mamkovo” Sergey Sadovod, who was previously convicted of extortion by Vasily Brovko.
Gentlemen Safonov and Deineko were arrested in October 2023. They were charged with extortion of more than 20 million rubles. In 2021–2022, Vasily Brovko and the general director of PJSC Rosseti Andrei Ryumin for removing the discrediting top managers of information and establishing a “negative block” in a number of Telegram channels, including “careless” and “temporary government”.
Mr. Deineko initially denied guilt, but during the investigation he confessed and concluded a pre -trial agreement on cooperation with the prosecutor. His case was allocated into a separate proceeding from a large cause of extortion by Vasily Brovko, general director of PJSC Rosseti Andrei Ryumin and founder of Yota Albert Avdolyan. The bourgeois court of the capital sentenced him to five years in a maximum security colony, the defendant was taken into custody in the courtroom. Mr. Deineko’s lawyer Elena Fedulova refused to comment on the verdict.
Alexander Gusov also agreed with the charge and concluded an agreement, Fedor Shcherbakov and Dmitry Zhmutsky managed to hide from the investigation, they were arrested in absentia and put on the wanted list. As for Anton Safonov, he is the only one of all denies his guilt and is still in custody. The defense of Mr. Safonov claims that, « not having managed to collect evidence of his guilt, » the investigation, « in order to achieve the approval of the indictment, went to service forgery. » The investigation, the defense notes, added to the indictment « a number of facts and circumstances that did not appear in the criminal case before. » Mr. Safonov, together with Shcherbakov, assists the role of the organizers of extortion.
It should be noted that in May 2024, a politician and public figure from Astrakhan, and the administrator of the Telegram channels “PolitoPrava” and “Sospromat” Karen Grigoryan were convicted in another case of extortion by Vasily Brovko.
At the beginning of April 2025, the Rostec State Corporation proposed to establish a separate criminal liability for the requirement of money or other property for the “Blots for Negatives”, supplementing the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation Art. 163.1 « The declination to the transfer of property or the right to property or the commission of other property of property. » We are talking about declining to such actions for non -proliferation, deletion or refutation of data, “dishonest the victim or his relatives” and common in the media, the Internet and instant messengers, but in the absence of signs of extortion. The deadline for punishment is proposed to be set at 10 years, while the current Art. 163 of the Criminal Code provides for up to 15 years in the colony.
