Explosion of gas cylinder. The owner speaks after the tragedy
It’s really a miracle that Piotr is alive. Currently lies burned in the hospital. Doctors put him into a pharmacological coma so that he would not suffer from pain.
This monstrous event occurred in the afternoon. Piotr replaced gas cylinders, which stood under Rożne. At some point there was a unseal and explosion. The strength of the explosion was so great that it torn the walls of the booth, and the refrigerators changed inside. The fire appeared quickly and began to spread inside the object.
– It happened a moment after 17. A friend said that they had already received the order. Shortly afterwards there was an explosion. He changed these cylinders and this whole valve stayed in his hand. This is what the police technicians said. It was a defective cylinder. It’s not our fault – explains Mrs. Katarzyna with tears. Immediately after the explosion, neighbors from a competitive kebab appeared on the spot. Men with fire extinguishers rushed to the rescue. Moments later, firefighters arrived.
– Five fire brigades worked in action. The fire was quickly controlled – says asp. Michał Zładanowski, from PSP in Pruszków. Hard -burned Piotr was immediately transported to the hospital.

The 29-year-old suffered a second and first degree burns. He had about 60 percent burned bodies.
« I have this view all the time, when he was sitting there at this bench at the stop. » He was all wrapped in bandages and said to me: « Kasia, don’t worry, everything is fine. » Then the ambulance took him to the hospital – says Kasia. The man immediately went to the ward. Doctors, let him not suffer, put him into a pharmacological coma.
Piotrek is a brave father of three children. He supports the whole family himself. His fiancee doesn’t work. Currently, everyone is in a difficult situation, and their future is in question. The man is unconscious for now. It is not known when doctors decide to wake him up. His family still believes that it will be fine and everything will return to normal. The owners of the burned restaurant want to help her.
– We can’t leave them like that. We have to help them, because at the moment they were left without lives and it is not known when Piotr will wake up. For now, he is intubated – explains the woman.
Residents and competition start with help
Mrs. Katarzyna is devastated. He is falling with strength. – my world collapsed. My husband put his whole heart into this place. He came here at 6 am to prepare everything so that the food was fresh. We loved what we did. We started with an ordinary food truck and slowly developed our interest. We’ve been working here for several years. People know us here and they are happy to come back to us. And now? We lost everything in an instant – he says with tears in his eyes. However, the injured marriage was not alone. The inhabitants came with the help. A collection is underway on the network. Even the smallest payment matters. Even the owners of competitive Kebab offered help, who, according to Mrs. Kasia, want to spend some penny to help them rebuild business.
– We are glad that there are still people in this world who can help. We always helped. We support collections as much as we can. Even when we started with a food truck, we donated all the income from one day to help our neighbor, whose daughter is disabled. You have to help, because good comes back – adds the injured owner of the premises.
