Explosion in the forest. The 14-year-old built a bomb and almost lost his hand
The boy was seriously injured. In bloody, with his fingers torn, he managed to call his father and grandfather himself. They called an ambulance.
A piece of forest turned into a zero zone
The explosion occurred after 20, on a forest duct between Jaśkowice and Gola. This is a secluded place where rarely anyone looks. That evening, the 14-year-old decided to fire his « invention » there.
According to the police, The boy built an explosive. The detonator was a pilot from the gate. He ordered the substances he used on the Internet. Legally. Sellers warned that they could be dangerous, even deadly in the right proportions.
The family did not suspect anything
– A teenager is interested in electronics. He has a flair for this. He often ordered various components online. Parents did not suspect that this time he was creating something else – says staff aspirant Dawid Gierczyk from the Kluczbork police, quoted by the « New Opole Tribunal ».
This time, instead of the printed plate, a firecracker was created. It’s not toy. The explosion literally ripped the teenager’s left hand. As a policeman said, only a small finger survived.
Counter -terrorists, dogs and chemists. The 14-year-old house was searched like a laboratory
The victim was hospitalized in Opole. When the doctors prepared him for surgery, the officers entered his room. Pyrotechnics from Wrocław, guides with dogs trained for detecting explosives and specialized chemical and ecological groups from Opole and Kędzierzyn-Koźle appeared on the spot.
– The whole apartment and basements were searched. Several substances were found. Liquid, loose and looted, which could be used to produce pyrotechnic material – informs the police. – The same means are not dangerous in themselves, but the boy knew how to connect them – they add to the uniform.
Investigators secured a laptop and a phone. They determined that all ingredients were legally purchased online.
He did not plan to attack
According to the police, there are no reasons to think that the 14-year-old wanted to hurt someone. He did not plan an attack. He had no enemies.
– He wanted to construct a firecracker. Check if he can – says a police spokesman. The uniformed findings show that he has never tried to produce such materials before.
The 14-year-old underwent surgery. His life is not in danger. However, the accident ended with a permanent mutilation.
The case after the May weekend will be dealt with by the Family Court in Kluczbork.
