On Thursday, June 19, the sun will shine, with a temporary rain and thunder in many places, with heavy rainfall with hail expected, with a storm during thunderstorms. The biggest risk of strong thunderstorms is forecast in the southeastern part of the country.
Meanwhile, on Friday, the eastern and central part of Latvia from the north will reach a wide precipitation zone, with strong northwest winds on Friday. In Riga, wind gusts up to 22 meters per second and tree breaking are possible.
According to the current Global Forecast System forecast on Saturday, the longest day of the year, the weather will improve, winds and only places – mainly in the east of the country – may be temporary rain. In the shortest night of the year, the air will cool down to +6 .. +11 degrees, part of the coastal temperature will not fall below +12 .. +14 degrees, but during the solstice day the temperature will rise to +17 .. +22 degrees.
Also on Sunday, temporary rain is forecast only for places and the air temperature can reach +25 degrees. On Midsummer’s Day, as well as Midsummer Night and Day, it is possible to rain in many places, and thunder can rain, and a gusty wind. The air temperature on June 23 can rise to +27 degrees, followed by cooler weather.
According to the European Medium -Time Prediction Center in late June and early July, the average air temperature in Latvia will remain slightly below normal, while the Global Forecast System allows the probability that the thermometer bar in the shade will rise to +35 degrees in the first days of July.
