Exhibition of women artists from Macedonia, Greece, Serbia and Cyprus open
The National Gallery of Macedonia, in collaboration with the Art Project Space Gallery, represents the International Group Exhibition of Women Artists from Macedonia, Greece, Serbia and Cyprus, entitled « Hidden Third: Somewhere Between presence and absence ». The exhibition is open at the Art Project Space Gallery and will last until June 6, 2025. In October, the exhibition will be presented to Macedonian audiences, and the works will be exhibited in « Small Station ». Curatories of the exhibition are Ana Frangovska, a curator-counselor in NGM, and independent art historian Nicki Papapiriru from Greece.
The exhibition develops along the imaginary axis stretching from Belgrade to Nicosia, with Skopje and Athens as key points in this geopolitical and cultural connection. The thirteen Macedonian, Greek, Serbian and Cypriot art will present works in media such as spatial and sound installations, videos, objects, paintings, drawings and performance. The exhibition creates a feminist space of coexistence, resistance and overcoming, emphasizing the importance of artistic expression in the constantly changing world.
