“Klaipeda port is one of the most important strategic objects in Lithuania – not only because of its economic significance, but also as a critical infrastructure whose security is directly related to the security of the whole state. At sea – « Open Spirit »

At the same time (May 5-16), Klaipeda State Seaport also carries out the KJP port and coastal Defense Service Exercise « Storm Defender 2025 », and on May 9-23, the Baltic Sea will host an international search for non -explosive historical ammunition and harm removal « Open Spirit 25 » (« Open Spirit 25 ») and 2025 ”.

12 warships from eleven NATO countries will arrive at Klaipeda port.

The international operations will also include 14 divers, underwater robots from 13 NATO countries: Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Belgium, Netherlands, Germany, France, UK, Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Canada and Portugal.

During this operation, special attention will be paid to the protection of existing underwater infrastructure against possible threats and destabilizing actions in the Baltic Sea.
