Ex-NFL star Tom Brady advertises to open the blocked Eisbachwelle-Diepresse.com

The Munich Eisbachwelle, popular with surfers, has been closed since a fatal accident. Now Tom Brady posted: « Surfing is not a crime ».

Former football star Tom Brady solidarizes with the Munich surfers, which demand a reopening of the Eisbach wave in the Bavarian capital. On Instagram, Brady posted a photo of the famous surf spot and a sign with the inscription: « Surfing is not a crime » (surfing is not a crime). Several media had reported about it.

Since the fatal accident of a 33 -year -old surfer in April, the wave has been closed to surfers. The fishing line of her board had hooked off, she could not free herself and later died in the hospital. The public prosecutor’s office is determined. The city of Munich for the time being prohibited surfing. If you don’t stick to the ban, you have to expect a fine of up to 50,000 euros.

Not all athletes stop this from surfing: since then, at least one surfer has been on the wave despite the ban. A video is also circulating on Instagram that shows another surfer.

Mayor asks Surfer for patience

Munich Mayor Dieter Reiter (SPD) had asked the Surfer for patience in mid -May. The public prosecutor still needs some time before it has completed the investigation and hopefully hiring the procedure. As soon as the attitude is available, he will do everything to ensure that the wave is surfable again as soon as possible, the town hall manager announced.

After the accident, several thousand supporters of the world -famous surf wave had already contacted riders and asked to make the wave accessible again.
