In Ghent, the judgment is expected from the Court of Appeal in the case of Jeroen Piqueur on Thursday. The former CEO of the Optima Bank had submitted wrecking requests through his lawyer Hans Rieder against the three judges of the Ghent correctional court, who have to judge in the case concerning the Optima Bank. The requests were rejected and Piqueur now risks the maximum fine for abuse of the challenge procedure. The Public Prosecution Service claimed 2,500 euros three times, but according to the defense the legal conditions for those fines were not met.

The Japanese peace boat Peace Boat will arrive in the port of Zeebrugge on Thursday. For the correctional court in Antwerp, the case is continued against criminal lawyer Omar Souidi About his driving fitness investigation. Souidi was sentenced to sixty days of driving ban and 2,000 euros on appeal in December, because he had committed a fleeing crime two years ago after he had driven two parked cars in Schilde.
