In the pastor Claeysstraat in Sint-Gillis, a body was found by the emergency services on Wednesday afternoon. A young man who was present in the apartment called the ambulance. Whether there is bad intent in the game is still being investigated.
All the afternoon and a large part of the evening, investigators and the lab were busy investigating the precise circumstances in which a woman died in an apartment above a business in the pastor Claeysstraat in Sint-Gillis.
Lots of ambiguities
Around 8.30 pm the body was taken, probably for an autopsy by a law doctor. According to the public prosecutor, this is an unclear death and it is not certain whether there is bad intent in the game. The piste of suicide is also being investigated.

The woman who died lived in the apartment. « Her mother lived there for about six years, » says one of the neighbors. « We never had problems with those people. Only she had latter lately. Maybe the break with her friend was something in between. »

The victim was admitted to the hospital but was home a few days later. « People regularly visit her, » says another neighbor. « We don’t know if there was anything wrong, it is particularly unfortunate that she is no longer there. »
The apartment was sealed after the research acts. What exactly happened is therefore not entirely clear, the public prosecutor’s office in East Flanders does not comment for the time being and wait until more details are known. (Svov)
