Evgenia Milova about the social events of the week
As you know, there is no more serious lesson than social events, in any case, people who are engaged in their production, in the last decade, have been trying to avoid a sense of humor in favor of a sense of self -significance. But the past secular week was unexpectedly ridiculous, although initially no one had such plans.
At first, the cinema cinema was celebrated for two days: on Monday – at the oldest Russian film award Andrei Konchalovsky and Julia Gusman, on Tuesday – on the just invented Trends/Kino from Men Today. Seriously about the place of “Nicky” on the map of Russian cinema was already written by Andrei Plakhov (See “Kommersant” from March 25), I will note that in a welcoming word, Mr. Konchalovsky called the prize to the festival that the hall was pretty amused. Further it turned out that the academicians absolutely wanted the best – but it turned out, of course, as always. Having made a truly Solomon decision, they divided the award in the “Best Male Role” nomination between Evgeny Tsyganov (for “Masters and Margarita”) and Yura Borisov (for “summer” will end). In the place of Mr. Borisov, I would be offended: he had little in the foreign reward season Kiran Kalkin, who took all the prizes that they were both nominated for, so now Mr. Tsyganov was found in his fatherland. It looked like academicians considered impolite to give nothing to the actor who had just returned from Oscar, but the decision to award the “best male role” Mr. Tsyganov was made by them for a long time, and no one wanted to abandon this idea. In addition, to award the film “Master and Margarita” in all the stated nominations was a deeply suffered decision and almost frontal. Moreover, among the guests in the hall was the head of the AP public projects, Sergey Novikov.
Almost the same thing happened the next evening in Metropol, where a male magazine award was awarded. And if Nicky’s academics are connected by regulations and traditions, then nothing prevented the organizers from awarding Yura Borisov as he deserves – even for working in Russian cinema, even in foreign. In the end, nothing connects them at all – they just came up with their prize. But no! Based on the vote of readers, the “best actor” was again given to Evgeny Tsyganov. For Mr. Borisov this evening, only a special nomination “reward for a contribution to the movie art from the cognac house“ Koktebel ”” was found. Here, in my opinion, the flaw of all today’s gloss is visible: everyone is trying very hard to resemble the departed respectable samples, instead of using the moment of zeroing of the market and creating without looking back.
The next event, where the gathered from the heart laughed, was the Art Theater award, established in 2023 to support creative youth – up to 35 years. The event was dedicated to Innocent Smoktunovsky, the 100th anniversary of the birth of which was on the same day. So the ceremony was designed minimalistly, mainly in the b/b, and the awarding in each categories preceded a fragment of the video interview of Mr. Smoktunovsky. In previous years, one of the jury members presented awards (and here for each category there is its own refereeing collegium of three people). However, this year there were more specially invited stars – and no one was able to hide the joy of what was standing on such a great scene. “As a graduate of VGIK, I could not imagine that one day I would be lucky enough to be on the scene of the Moscow Art Theater,” Anna Mikhalkova admitted. “This is possible if you work a lot and if your dad is Nikita Mikhalkov.” The hall was very amused, although Mrs. Mikhalkova, just in case, emphasized that she was joking.
But the most funny joke gathered, obviously not wanting that, Aeroflot, which decided to support the winners in special nominations. There are only two of them: the “test”-for students of the Moscow Art Theater School (it is awarded by the rector Igor Zolotovitsky) and “without comment” from the Moscow Art Theater Konstantin Khabensky. And who would have thought that the modesty of the national air carrier would be so unlimited! If the VTB Bank sponsor the organization of the award, and the Mercury jewelry company gives a golden brooch in the form of a seagull in addition to the reward, then the winner of the “offset” Agafya Bit Garmus received 50 thousand miles of the bonus program from Aeroflot, and the laureate “without comment”-two free tickets to the business class “in any point in Russia, where the Russians where it flies, where the Russian « Aeroflot ». » The laureate was the director of the Hermitage Mikhail Piotrovsky-and the auditorium almost sobbed with laughter due to the inconsistency of the scale of the award and the awarded. “I just have to fly to Orenburg this week,” Mr. Piotrovsky finished off the hall. “The mind is extremely important, but, in addition, it is necessary to place an element of the flair of time, tact to the viewer and taste” – this statement by the Innocent of the Smoktunov ceremony ended.
