Everyone escaped was too fast for a month, now he was finally imprisoned: « With two vehicles we made a blockade towards the street » (inland)

A escaped Nandoe was safely put behind the fence again just before Easter. The walking bird had been around for almost a month on the border of Hasselt and Tongeren-Borgloon. Each time he was his ‘catchers’ too fast. See you Saturday.
« We had several telephones from a stray Nandoe on the Hasselt – Tongeren border. Every time we arrived, the running bird had already disappeared in the fields. Several times we were also looking for the Nandoe. Without success, » says Matthieu Helleputte of Animal Rescue Service vzw.

The Haspengouw police and the mayors then came to solve the problem of the stray Nandoe as quickly as possible. « We agreed that every report of the Nandoe was passed on as quickly as possible so that we could go on the spot quickly. On Saturday the Nandoe was then re -spotted in a plantation in the Riksingenstraat, 2.5 kilometers from where it escaped. »

A few volunteers went on the spot and saw the Nandoe walking around in an orchard. « With two vehicles we made a blockage towards the street. With create nets in hand we moved into the orchard. That way we were the running bird too fast and after a few minutes he was trapped. »
The Nandoe was taken home safely.
