Eventually it happens what many predicted: KDH will help Fico

It wasn’t so complicated. Robert Fico achieved what he wanted.

The Christian Democratic Movement will talk for a long time after Sunday’s lunch stories about how the direction was reproached. At the same time, the direction will abuse them and, as untrustworthy, suits them back to the opposition party community.

Even Fico did not have to be specially stressed to accept KDH requirements. In this respect, he had no red lines, nor those that would certainly apply to the real social democrat.

KDH has presented many arguments in the last days. Many could be simplified as follows: Direction wanted to steal us with an agenda, but we « get » it with it because we will make him vote for our proposal. In addition, voting with populists and extremists of various decoctions, if they reach power, will be the European trend.

At the same time, the situation does not cost at all that if they refused cooperation with Fico, it will become a key and defining the topic of the amendment to which he will constantly return. This is not true that KDH will never have a chance to say anything essential to these topics.

With this step, the KDH has been reduced to a pony that controls a single political trick, and the movement is willing to sacrifice integrity for this amendment on topics that rewrite what they achieve by changing the constitution.

If nothing else, the last statements of Fico could discourage KDH from the Services for the Prime Minister. They are preparing to cooperate with a man who is pushing for the benefits of reviving the system ideal for one political party. It sings the progress of dictatorships and systematically attacks the country attacked by Putin’s Russia, and this attack is also an attack on European security infrastructure.

This cooperation banalizes Fico’s attacks on democratic institutions, members of the opposition and also European partners. After all, they will not be so serious if the democratic opposition party decides to associate with Direction for one vote.

Then there is the content of Fico’s amendment. Experts point out that Fico’s draft amendment will disrupt the international obligations of Slovakia as well as the ability to guarantee rights within the Convention for the Protection of Fundamental Rights and Freedoms from the Council of Europe.

Obviously, the KDH does not interfere with the way this amendment is adopted – no social discussion or respect for expert opinions and failure to think of the consequences of such a change.

It is necessary to jump quickly so that Fico does not steal the party agenda. Is it really possible to reduce the most serious changes in the Constitution with a large impact on society?

One does not even need to have human rights or political history education in order to imagine the ways in which the formulations of the « national identity » we define through « basic cultural-ethical issues ».

Who and what can in the future disturb our national identity? Have you tried to imagine it through the definitions of the ruling representation?

Fico’s discovery: Dictators are easier to follow

Robert Fico has come to a great discovery: dictatorships and autocracy are easier to follow than democracy. What would European prime ministers who sweat blood with coalitions would give them for this knowledge, and then after four years voters will just replace them.

Clearly, Fico didn’t discover anything new. But this idea obviously employs it strongly. Even for this to let Fico to any change in the electoral system, there is much more than just a political mistake. The offer of the KDH to change the Constitution in national identity and cultural-ethical issues only tests the possibilities of “cooperation” in possible election outrageousness.

One of the warning signals of the emergence of autocracies is that the ruling group begins to change the electoral system from the position of power with the argument of a lighter « management » of the country.

They say to our voters: we cannot fulfill our (populist) promises, because the opposition parties breathe on our neck, and when the country sees the country after four years, our efforts will destroy.
