Even more sex in the city: Start of the new season of « And just like that … ».
The recipe for success? « We just keep going as it has been since 1997, » says Sarah Jessica Parker. At that time, filming the series « Sex and the City » started, which then celebrated over six seasons and two films world successes. Parker plays the columnist Carrie Bradshaw, who lives, loves and celebrates with her friends Charlotte York (Kristin Davis), Miranda Hobbes (Cynthia Nixon) and Samantha Jones (Kim Cattrall) in New York.
In the meantime, the multi -award -winning series, which has shaped the image of women and the image of the metropolis of New York worldwide, has long since gone into extra time. And now the third season of the sequel « And Just Like That … » on Sky also starts in German -speaking countries. A new episode is to be released weekly until the relay finale on August 14th.
« It is really beautiful to see that the original viewers continue to be there and are so enthusiastic, » says Parker. « And then there is a completely different new generation, which is now there and watching. It’s very gratifying, but the series is simply well written. »
In « And Just Like That … » the friends are no longer in the « complicated reality of life and friendships in their thirties », but in the « even more complicated reality » from 50. And they are only three after Kim Cattrall got out as Samantha Jones.
It is really beautiful to see that the original viewers continue to be there.

Instead of this, new and very different actresses are added, for example Rosie O’Donnell. In her real life, she never had the time to go with her « friends so often lunch, » says Parker. « But the show has always been a bit hyperreal. »
A lot of drama and spectacular outfits
Carrie is again with her ex-boyfriend Aidan (John Corbett) after the death of her great love, but the couple thinks of his relationship for a five-year break because Aidan has to take care of his son in the US state of Virginia. Miranda is divorced and now loves women. Among other things, Charlotte has to take care of the college applications of her children. Of course, the always spectacular outfits have remained.

The reviews for the first two seasons of « And Just Like That … » were much more mixed than at that time for « Sex and the City ». The new season is also « still superficial and simply silly, » writes the « USA Today ». The characters are now also represented as too rich to really identify with them, the « Vanity Fair » criticizes. For example, Carrie buys an entire house in the middle of a very expensive area from Manhattan.
The magazine « Time », on the other hand, rates the third season as a « effective new beginning »: « Finally ‘and just like that …’ no longer feels like a hangover of ‘Sex and the City’, but like his own absurd but very funny thing. »
A shocking look behind villas walls
To this day, “Sex and the City” fans are still flocking to the original films of the series in New York; So many that the owner of the serial house of leading actress Parker in the West Village now even applied for a goal for her staircase from the monument protection authority. For such loyal fans, the third season of « And Just Like That … » will be an absolute must again.
