Europe’s Summit in Tirana, Costa and Rama a letter of leaders. The 3 themes are shown

Europe will be in Tirana, and Albania will become the headline of the region’s politics. Therefore, European Council President Antonio Costa and Prime Minister Edi Rama have addressed a joint invitation to EU leaders and beyond attended by the 6th European Political Community held Thursday and Friday in Tirana.

In the letter Costa and Rama say that Europe is facing a historic moment, marked by multiple and complex challenges. Summit motto New Europe in a new world: unity-cooperation-joint action.

Based on the progress of the previous summit, the Tirana Summit will be crucial for a platform for increasing dialogue and deepening cooperation. « We need to return to the common challenges with the opportunity to advance our objectives. We will hold a plenary session focused on our shared security and vision for the future of Europe, followed by 3 thematic tables:

1-Uncertainty in Europe and strengthening democratic sustainability; A Europe for 600 million citizens;
2-Increasing European competition and security through innovation;
3-An open Europe with safe boundaries and addressing the challenges of mobility. « 

Among other things, this letter states that its consequences of Russia’s aggression extends beyond the borders of Ukraine, threatening European collective security. Economies in our countries highlight Rama and Costa are facing fragmentation risks, undermining further development and the ability to maintain growth and competitiveness. To them, irregular migration and its instrumentalization remains an important challenge by complicating efforts to secure and regular mobility of European citizens.
