Europe must prepare for war with Russia

According to a British military expert, NATO countries can be involved in a military conflict with Russia within two years. War with Russia can start in the Baltic.
Ed Arnold, a military expert at the British Royal Service Institute (Russia), said in an interview with the German news agency DA that NATO countries should prepare for a military conflict with Russia in 2027.
Regarding the massive investment that Germany plans in the weapons sector, Arnold warned that, given the threat from Russia, the German government does not have time to distribute investments over a ten -year period. Instead, the German army, Bundeswehr, must first focus on the rapid and sensitive expansion of reserves of tested weapons systems and ammunition – especially artillery ammunition.
Bundeswehr should be provided with heavy equipment
The recommended systems include Taurus missiles, Leopard 2 A8 tanks and Boxer type armor. Both tanks and brinded atoms are also used by other European countries.
According to the British Bundeswehr can « massively » increase their production, equip its units with heavy equipment and supply the allies as well.
Not always the best
Europe must give up the idea of always having weapons technologically more advanced, Arnold said. « The example of Ukraine shows that you should not always have the best. »
It is important to be just a little better than the opponent, ”says the expert. It is also not advisable to spend a lot of money on equipment from which you can lose ten per day in the event.
According to Ed Arnold today there are changes in the way fighting. This is related to the use of drones even at the lowest low fighting level. The drones are « all -out on the battlefield » – said Arnod.
War with Russia can start in the Baltic
If Russia will deliberately seek to start a conflict, the expert believes that this is most likely to happen in the Baltic, for example in Suvalki, the only terrestrial bridge that connects NATO states in Central Europe and Baltic allies. Based on numerous military activities in Europe, Arnold also warned of the possibility that NATO countries and Russia would inadvertently involve a conflict elsewhere.
