Europe and Social-Statism

When the low tide there is which bathers were naked. This said adapts, perfectly, to the current geopolitical and geoeconomic situation. Trump, elected, decided to defend the interests of those who elected him, the Americans, not the diffuse interests of everything that moved on the planet. With this decision of Trump, the tide lowered. And when they dropped, everyone saw that the Europeans were naked. Point. They thought these would always last, that the American uncle was going to pay for the beach holidays until the day of the final court. They were wrong. Europeans were naked and no money to buy swimsuits.

Accounts made, it was clear that the generality of European countries, starting with France and Germany, were ruined: no basic industries, no technological, abyssal external debts, rich addictions, millionaires and homeless media (2030). Put on hard power’s hard reality, this illusion of ruined nobles they called Soft Power proved to be what it was: an illusion of many with which they had long feeded. The reality for many already known, it was clear to everyone: Europe was ruined. Dozens of years of social statism had undergroundly underground the generality of European countries.

Social Democracy and Socialism, are the two faces of the same reality that is Social-Statism, a term that I saw a few days ago by David Lisnard, Maire de Cannes and the French Maires Association that considers this social-state as « the engine of French decline » and, I add, from Portugal, as well as the generality of European countries. Lisnard considers – and well – that « social statism ruined our common social model and our productive device, weakened our education, health and social security systems, engendered our regulatory asphyxiation and administrative hypertrophy. » Finally, it was social statism that « disarmed the state in the context of its sovereign functions: security, justice and defense. » By the way, Lisnard does not militate in RN or any party said ‘populist’ but belongs to the LR thus framing itself in the center-right.

Why are social democracy and socialism the two faces of this same currency that is social-statism? Because, either from an ideological point of view and from political practice, nothing substantial differentiates them. Both give priority to the state over the citizen, distinguishing themselves only by giving some more power to private initiative but always the tutelary shadow of a state that controls everything. It is no coincidence that in Brussels the royal power is in a permanent, though informal alliance between PPE and S&D, that is, social democrats and socialists since at least twenty years for this part. In Portugal, over 50 years, it has always been social-statism who ruled us, alternating the social democratic face with the socialist face. But whatever the face presented, taxes have always been increasing and the services provided losing quality, the state machine growing in dimension and in power and sovereign functions (security, defense and justice) reduced to insignificance.

On May 18, vote for PS or PSD will indeed vote for the PSE, the Statist Social Party. Whoever does so, who does not complain after ‘Trump’ or American voters. That complains of yourself.
