EU shocked by homicide of Israeli employees in the USA
The head of the European Union Diplomacy (EU) said Thursday was shocked by the murder of two employees of the Israeli embassy in Washington, USA. Kaja Kallas stressed that there is no « place for hatred and extremism. »
« Shocked by shooting two Israeli embassy employees in Washington DC. There is no and there should be no place in our societies for hatred, extremism or anti -Semitism, » the EU representative for foreign business and security policy wrote.
“I present my condolences to the families of the victims and the people of Israel,” said Kaja Kallas.
Two employees of the Israeli embassy in the US were shot abroad of the Washington Jewish Museum on Wednesday night. US authorities reported the arrest of a suspect who, according to police, called for the release of Palestine.
This attack occurred at a time when the Israeli government is the target of growing international criticism by conducting the offensive in the Gaza strip. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Thursday he ordered the reinforcement of security measures in Israeli diplomatic missions in the world following the murder of two Israeli embassy officials in Washington.
However, the US President described the murder as “horrible”. In the same message, Donald Trump said that hatred and radicalism have no place in the United States.
