What we do not do the Romanians we know, but what we do we find from time to time.
And this is how I learned that the beautiful city broken by the world, Sulina, will receive for the modernization of its multi -ethnic cemetery the amount of 10 million euro money through the program of integrated lasting development strategy of the Danube Delta
Or at the ball or at… Sulina
In Romania there is a famous and even internationally promoted cemetery, called the Merry Cemetery in Sapanta. There a local artist had a unique idea at least in Europe, to score on the wooden cross in cheerful lyrics and some carved and painted elements, some important and defining elements in the life of the deceased
In exactly the opposite corner of Romania, in Sulina, there is a multi -ethnic cemetery where they are all: pirates, aviators, sailors, Catholics, Protestants, etc.
The monumental idea of transforming the multi -ethnic cemetery in Sulina instead of tourist pilgrimage outside the recollection place in memoriam was obviously inspired by the cheerful homonym from Sapanta
Locals say that they are ready to make forever places for Iliescu, Basescu and Johannis, motivating that everyone will feel in his characteristic element: Iliescu with waters, Basescu with sparrows and sailors and KWJ with exotic tourism
We don’t have a road and hospital but look at what cemetery it is!
Superba Sulina, as a city, is completely broken by the rest of Romania, the access being made only by boat, the ship and the helicopter because Neste some do not want to make the road on land that connects the city of Tulcea. This wonderful thing makes everything brought by boat from Tulcea and the prices are 30% higher
Of the many bad ideas and bad investments in Sulina we could list the Center for Local Tourism, a building built with a modern but unnecessary architecture and which the sun burned enough to need the year by some remedies. The Center for taking over and processing of the fish, a deserted and abandoned building is another living expression of how they are designed and paid from the money of the state and/or of the EU, these « valuable » ideas!
Hospital in Sulina cannot be due to lack of funds, so as far as Tulcea if the patient does not die for days because if the weather is not good and the helicopter cannot land and the boats cannot reach, then it was clear!
So if the patient died with days, it is worth a burial for the religion and customs of his nation what can be done only for 10 million euros, right?
