ESC 2025, final: participants and songs
The display of the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 in Basel in Switzerland is the 69th edition of the world’s most important music competition. The annual event has been a highlight in the TV calendar since 1956. Similar to this year, the very first ESC took place in Switzerland. At that time, however, not in Basel, but in Lugano. With the song « Refrain », the Swiss Lys Assia won the victory for her home country at the start. From a German perspective, the last victory has been a few years ago. In 2010 the newcomer won Lena Meyer-Landrut With her hit « Satellite » the event in Oslo.

ESC 2025: These participants and songs fight for the finals
Now it is clear which musicians are there in the final on Saturday, May 17th, 2025. Before that, there were two semi -finals. In the end, only 26 of the total of 37 countries move into the final. The so -called « Big Five », consisting of Germany, France, Great Britain, Italy and Spain, already have a place in the final, just like the host country, this year. Of the remaining 31 countries that compete in the semi -finals, 20 make it to the final. So in the final 26 nations fight for victory at the ESC in Basel.
