Erdogan met with Iranian President Pimeskiyan: ‘Israel is trying to sabotage the negotiation’ – Cyprus Newspaper
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made a telephone conversation with Iranian President Mesud Pezşkiyan after the rise of tension due to the attack initiated by Israel early on Friday.
The conflict between Israel and Iran, regional and global issues were discussed during the meeting on Saturday.
According to the statement of the Communication Presidency, Erdogan condemned Israel’s attacks on Iran during the meeting « strongest », and conveyed his condolences to the Iranian people because of the loss of life.
Erdogan said that Israel’s attacks are a clear violation of international law, aiming to draw the whole region into fire, and Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu is trying to sabotage the nuclear negotiation process with attacks.
In the statement made by the Communication Presidency’s social media platform X account, the following statements took place: “President Erdoğan stated that Israel tried to remove the world’s attention from the genocide in Gaza with attacks against Iran.”
“Our President said that Türkiye closely follows the developments regarding the possibility of nuclear leakage at the Natanz facility, and the only solution of the nuclear dispute is diplomatic processes.”

Other regional leaders were also involved in Erdogan’s interview traffic on Saturday. Then, in his meeting with the King of Jordan, Abdullah, he said, “Israel and Netanyahu administration have caused an aggressive and unlawful attitude to the global stability and security problems in a global dimension”.
Erdogan spoke to Egyptian President Abdulfettah al-Sisisi after Pezşkiyan. In the telephone conversation of similar issues, Gaza should not be overshadowed by the attacks and the importance of nuclear negotiations were emphasized.
