More than half of the available energy capacities in the country are from renewable sources (55.72%) – according to data from the 2024 annual report of the Energy Regulatory Commission, water services and services for municipal waste management (ERC). The report records the first larger installed power of photovoltaic power plants (28.40%) compared to the installed power of hydroelectric power plants (24.13%).

« In order to strengthen energy stability and independence, in terms of dominance of renewable capacities, it is necessary to encourage investment that will provide balance energy in the coming period, » said Marko Bislimoski, President of ERC.

In the section on natural gas and heat energy, the ERC notes in the annual report as important events: the completed certification of the Nomagas Natural Gas Transmission System Operator, as well as the start of the procedures for issuing the licenses of the Steam and Hot Water Supply Company

The sublimated analysis in the aquatic service sector confirms the high percentage of non -false water and in 2024. Water losses have been registered nationally by an average of almost 64 %.
