Together organized by Racing Action 04 Lorzweiler and the Ecurie Lëtzebuerg, a mountain race took place 13 years after the last edition on Easter Monday in Lorenzweiler. The imposing spectator backdrop underlined that the efforts to revive the traditional race had worth it.
The starter field – intended for the premiere – was a bit small, from spectacular open sports prototypes to the small Citroën AX, everything was at the start. Clear audience favorites, not last because of their look and their sound, were GT vehicles such as the Audi R8 GT3 or the Porsche 911 in various GT3 cup designs.

Patrik Zajelsnik became the clear overall winner. The German-Slovenian, which already last year had won the mountain race in Eschdorfwon in the Nova Proto NP01 in front of the two Luxembourgers Dany Demuth (Norma M20 FC) and Tommy Rollinger (Osella FA30). In the end, Demuth and Rollinger separated only one and a half tenths of a second.
The Luxembourg fans can stay in racing mode: The European Hill Race will take place in Eschdorf in less than two weeks (May 3 and 4).
