He says that there are three types of students in his field: those who finish their studies, those who graduate and « gurus » in Lehto’s words, which are attracted to work before graduation.
Lehto says he belongs to the middle group.
« I’m definitely a good candidate, » he says.
« But then there are 700-3,000 other applicants. I’m definitely not the only good applicant. »
She knows people who have the same problem from her studies. He says his classmate said he has not applied for jobs because he does not want to upset his mind.
Yet During the interview, he was most scared of if he did not get four training points. He would be able to get the training at work.
His fear was that he could not graduate without training. Then his student subsidy month would end, but he would not be entitled to unemployment protection.
An intermediate status would mean getting in a way, he is afraid. There is one child to support, and a mortgage should also be paid.
The day after the interview, however, he was a happy surprise: he had been able to transfer credits from school projects to his internship. Therefore, he no longer needs to get his thesis through his thesis.
He is so relieved that he texted himself and he has tired a few tears of happiness.
He encourages others to seek help from, for example, a student counselor if he feels stuck. He himself received practical help and peace of mind from his student counselor.
